Metabolism is one of the most misunderstood parts of the human body; it is the foundation of every aspect of your health. Every system in your body is affected by your metabolism.

Think of your cells like a furnace. Your metabolism is the rate at which the furnace produces energy. Lifestyle choices are 100% linked to metabolic health. Metabolism begins at the cellular level; if your cells are not functioning properly you will produce less energy, which leads to a slowed metabolism, and other health issues. Many things can negatively affect your metabolism:

  • Diets that restrict calories or macronutrients
  • Eating foods that suppress your thyroid
  • Lack of sleep
  • Over-training
  • Too much endurance-based exercise
  • Stress and anxiety

Now for the good news… NuStrength knows that eating the right foods, choosing the right lifestyle, and training more effectively (i.e. strength-based instead of cardiovascular-based) can support healing your metabolism, increase muscle gain, and speed up fat loss. Depending on how damaged your metabolism is, healing can take anywhere between three months and two years. We offer a specialised nutrition program (Popping the Food Bubble) designed to help you heal your metabolism, increase your energy, increase muscle mass, speed up fat loss, improve sleep, and help you to feel happier without starving yourself or doing endless hours of exercise.

Our Popping the Food Bubble Program is designed to educate you on proper nutrition and lifestyle choices that can support the healing of your metabolism. Your program runs for a minimum of three months and the overall duration of the program is determined based on your specific needs.

  • If you’re not based in Brisbane the program can be completed online with Skype/Phone support/consults

  • An initial review of your current health issues and goals
  • Fortnightly one-on-one 30 minute nutrition coaching sessions
  • A customised nutrition plan (meal ideas, optimal food lists, foods to avoid, etc.)
  • Unlimited email and text support
