Popping the Food Bubble Nutrition Program Feedback
1. Did you have identified problems upon entering the Program?
I was always tired, over sleeping, really bad digestion, unable to digest any dairy even some basic foods. I hadn’t had a period since I competed, so 8 months of no period and then I got one period and then no period for another 6-8 mths.
Mostly for me it was the energy and the brain fog and the consistent weight gain even though I was eating really well, or what I thought was really well. I was super frustrated with what I was doing and I felt like crap and also my hormones were out of balance. I had previously competed four times and each time I competed I had to diet harder and do more cardio. By the last show I was doing an hour walk in the morning, a weight training session and then a sprints session after my weights session. I was training 2.5-3 hours a day on about 1000 calories consisting of eggs whites, spinach, turkey, broccoli, flaxseed oil, fish, no carbs for the last four weeks up to my first comp and then during the four weeks I competed back to back in four shows.
2. Have these problems being resolved since starting the program?
Increase in my energy, the brain fog is not there anymore – I couldn’t focus on anything previously and felt really doppy. My period has come back and now normalised, its spot on 28 days and no pain. I remember going to the doctors and they told me you are not pregnant don’t worry, they were not worried at all. On Kitty’s advice I cut my exercise back and now I am feeling better, I was so fatigued and tired after training previously. Now I am slowly easing myself back into training. My digestion is heaps better, we are still working on it but have a plan on how we will get milk back in. Sleep is still not spot on but I sleep deeply but I still wake up a little tired. I now fall asleep quickly and sleep through the night. I am now waking up feeling better and that is increasing. I had no sex drive before, it was flat so flat and now its back. I don’t get sugar cravings anymore, before it was always sugar that I was craving. I can eat more food now, which is amazing, I am up around 2500 calories now.
3. What were you eating prior to starting the program?
Lean meats, green vegetables, turkey mince, fish, heaps of nuts, peanut butter, pea protein, super greens, sweet potato, chicken, salads. I remember when I came to the coast and started with another coach and she started me on a high fat, low carb, moderate protein diet – loads of green vegeis, meat, nuts and coconut oil. I couldn’t stick to it I was supposed to do it for two weeks straight, apparently this was to reset my system. I kept trying to do it again and again before seeing Kitty and I just couldn’t stick to it.
4. What are you eating now?
Bone broths, OJ, fruit, potato, butter, lean meats, honey, NuGel Gelatin, chicken, coconut milk
5. How long did you spend in calendar time on the Program?
6. Was the information presented understandable and credible?
Oh god yes, it has been really good, I keep referring back to it. I set aside an hour a day to go back and read over the notes. I want to be able to explain to people why I eat the way I do.
7. Was your coach for the Program helpful? What grade would you give him/her? (A – F)
A+ I couldn’t fault you, you have been really helpful and caring. You actually care about peoples health, its not all about money for you, you want to help. I appreciate your tough love at times as well, I respond to that.
8. Is it easy to procure the foods you need and prepare them for the Program you are now using?
9. Have you seen an increase in resting temperature and pulse while on the program?
Yes it has, when I first started my temps would have been about 34.5 and today it was 36.7 after food. Not sure about pulse I haven’t done it very often.
10. Summarise your experience with the program.
At first it was vert confronting to change the way I was eating, to know I might gain weight as that for that was the main reason for starting to lose weight. I now know the inside needs to heal first and the weight will come off. I have to undo all the damage that I have done in the past. What I am doing now will benefit me long term and will give me sustainable results. I now focus on feeling good and healthy, I love the food I find it yummy and easy to eat and cook. I am saving so much time with food prep. I probably spend an hour a week doing food prep now.
11. Would you recommend the Program to others?
Yes I am getting Kitty and Craig to do a seminar at
