1. What was the primary benefit of doing the Program for you?
So many benefits! The main ones are:
o Better digestion – no longer have the bloating or look like I’m pregnant after a meal
o Education – better understanding on what types of foods to eat and when and how they relate to your metabolism. Also what not to do in terms of exercise when you have a stressed body e.g. no cardio and reduced exercise
o I no longer need to take a zillion meds and supplements – I was taking so many vitamins and supplements, which I ‘thought’, were helping me when in fact I don’t need them. Reduction of meds has saved me hundreds of dollars ☺
o I can eat more – I was eating about 2,000 cals a day and now I am up to 2,500 with no weight gain
o I train less – I was training 6 days a week and now only train 4 days a week which means more time to do other things that I love
2. Did you experience changes in energy, appetite, emotional balance, and mental sharpness?
Yes I experienced a change in appetite, the foods I am now eating keep me feeling fuller for longer, greatly reducing my hunger pangs. My energy has improved, as has my emotionally stability.
3. How long did you spend in calendar time on the Program?
12 weeks, however this is a life change not a diet, therefore I am going to continue this way of eating forever!
4. What were your body temperature and pulse changes during the Program?
When I started they were really low. Temps were around the 35-36 mark and pulses were 60-70. Both readings have improved, core body temp up to 36.4 in the morning and 36.7 in the afternoon with my pulse currently running at 80+.
5. Would you recommend the Program to others?
I already have! My husband is doing it now (only a few weeks in) and is finding his energy has increased and loves the food (particularly the liver, he’s English)
6. Was the information presented understandable and credible?
Absolutely. I love that the program is based on science and while it can be a bit hard to get your head around why it would work – I have seen with my own eyes the results friends have achieved, which was all the evidence I needed to start the program in the first place.
7. Was your coach for the Program helpful? What grade would you give him/her? (A – F)
A+. We love Kitty! Kitty always made you feel like you were her only client (even though she has many), you could feel that she cared how well you were doing and always gave you options/information when you came to her with questions (which I asked her allot). I also trusted her, which is really important. You can tell Kitty comes from a place of care and love and only ever wants the best for you. You can also see with your own eyes the science works for her so she is a great advocate for the program.
Kitty was also really easy to talk to and made you feel like you were just having a chat with a mate ☺
8. Is it easy to procure the foods you need and prepare them for the Program you are now using?
For sure. I have always had to do food prep as I have been on many diets due to my IBS (which is no longer have with the foods I am now eating) and this program is the easiest to do in terms of food prep. I no longer get up at 6am to go the organic markets on a Sunday to beat the crowds and then spend hours in the kitchen washing and spin drying green vegetables (which I don’t miss).
9. Did you have identified problems upon entering the Program, and were they changed?
I had reflux and no longer do. I had IBS issues and now they are severely reduced. I am no longer hungry every hour. My temps and pulses were low (due to reduced metabolism) and have now increased and I am able to eat more food and train less.
10. Summarise your experience with the program.
I loved it. I am converted to this way of eating and living forever. It took me a while to get my head around the program however after seeing the results from friends and reading the science behind it – it all made complete sense! I was willing to try it out, as I really wanted to improve my IBS problems and also heal my metabolism. I also loved that Kitty set up a NuStrength Facebook page so you can read about everyone else’s journeys and get tips and tricks on recipes or where to get certain foods. It made you feel really involved and able to connect with others.
What I love the most is that I eat more, train less, get to drink chocolate milk (when I was told to stay away from sugar due to my hypoglycaemia) and eat potato with butter. Yum.
Thank you so much Kitty! You have changed my life for the best. Xo
