Popping the Food Bubble Nutrition Program Feedback
1. Did you have identified problems upon entering the Program?
I felt low in energy, felt like it was harder to keep my training at the level it was, I wasn’t recovering and I felt tired. I was cutting weight for comps and I was cutting calories lower and lower and my weight wasn’t dropping so I just knew my metabolism wasn’t where it should be. My sleep wasn’t great, I had heaps of issues with digestion, I was living off protein powders and took lots of supplements – I look back on the way I ate before and it made me cringe, lots of supplements which I have cut out completely. When I first started the program I was maintaining my weight at 1400 calories per day and when cutting for comps I cut it back to 1200.
2. Have these problems being resolved since starting the program?
Sleep is deeper, I feel like I recover from training a lot better, I have so much more energy when I train, I feel better overall, I’m not as stressed about food. I feel like I’m getting everything I need so I don’t supplement much at all expect for Progest e and a few fat soluble vitamins. I am enjoying cooking again and food is no longer a stressful thing. I understand my body a lot better now, the processes, the hormones, I wasn’t listening to my body or wasn’t aware of how it all worked. Digestion is heaps better I’m no longer bloated, no dramas with my stomach, I know what food works for me and what I can process and feel good on it and I can pinpoint things that don’t work for me. I am so much more in tune with my body. I feel like things are a lot simpler now it comes down to listening to your body and what works for you, understanding the cravings. Now I am eating 1900 calories a day and slightly more on my leg days and I haven’t put any weight on, I am actually 1kg down. I feel like my body composition looks better, I feel like I have lost fat and put on muscle.
3. What were you eating prior to starting the program?
Protein powders, egg whites, lots of muscle meat, green vegetables, shakes, protein bars, low carb, high protein
4. What are you eating now?
Lots of carbs fruit, gelatin, seafood, potato, sour dough, lots of dairy, I no longer have issues with dairy, butter, coconut oil, salt, coffee, sugar, dark chocolate
5. How long did you spend in calendar time on the Program?
6. Was the information presented understandable and credible?
Yes it was perfect, getting the lessons, printing them off and reading them, then having you to back it up on the phone calls and explain things in more detail, easy to understand. I have done a lot of nutrition stuff/courses but this is the best thing I have ever done in terms of what I got out of it personally and what I have learnt. You have to come into it with an open mind as its completely different – but the results speak for themselves and I feel amazing.
7. Was your coach for the Program helpful? What grade would you give him/her? (A – F)
Massively helpful, always available, I could email, text or call and you and you would get back to me straight away, you were perfect, easy to talk to and relatable, a real person.
8. Is it easy to procure the foods you need and prepare them for the Program you are now using? Yes its heaps easier, you have to put a little bit of time into it but anything worth doing is worth putting time into. It was inexpensive, everything was healthy and fresh and in season, really easy.
9. Have you seen an increase in resting temperature and pulse while on the program?
Yes a slight increase, when I first spoke to you I was like 35 when I woke up, I was really low I have gone up a fair bit since then.
10. Summarise your experience with the program.
I think for me it has been a really about learning how to listen to my body and simplify things, get a better underrating of how the body works and putting more time into nutrition like training as they compliment each other. I feel a lot stronger and more positive about food and have an overall increase in general well being.
11. Would you recommend the Program to others?
Yes definitely I think if you are willing to make changes and be open minded its one of the best things I have done. Its really quite liberating once you do it, once you start listening to what your body needs, I don’t feel any stress about food anymore it and I was never depriving myself, I feel like you are helping your body work at a optimal level.
